Plaintiffs John and Theresa Sophocleus bring this case against defendants Margie Champion Todd Hopper, Paul Bowlin, Jimmy Butts, and DeJarvis Leonard, all in their individual capacities, and Reese & Howell, Inc. The Sophocleuses allege that the individual defendants, who are employees of the Alabama Department of Transportation, took their home for private use from January 1999 through August 1999,
