Perhaps in the most literal sense, this case involves—what both parties refer to as—a "captive audience." Plaintiffs-appellants Chanelle Linet Alexander, et al. (the Class) are family members, friends, and attorneys who pay for collect telephone calls from inmates incarcerated in Indiana's State prisons and County jails.
