ORME, Judge:

¶ 1 Defendant Shayne Todd was convicted of murder, a first degree felony under Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-203 (2003), and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a second degree felony under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-503(3) (2003). Defendant claims the trial court erred in failing to grant his motion for a new trial, which was based on allegedly improper statements made by the prosecutor during closing argument...
