Following a jury trial, the defendant, Anthony DuPree, was convicted of burglary (720 ILCS 5/19-1(a) (West 2002)) and theft under $300 (subsequent offense) (720 ILCS 5/16-1(a)(1)(A) (West 2002)). He was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment for the burglary and 5 years' imprisonment for the theft, with sentences to run concurrently.
