This is an equal pay act dispute. A school district paid its female director of child nutrition services less than its male director of maintenance for equal work. This despite the fact that both had received equal pay for 10 years. The district concedes equal work and disparate pay. But it argues that its salary decisions were based on a statistical survey of salaries which satisfies the "factor other than sex" exception to the equal pay act. We disagree...
