OPINION

Justice EAKIN.

Paul David Crews appeals from the order denying his second petition for relief under the Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA), 42 Pa.C.S. §§ 9541-9546. We affirm.

In 1990, appellant murdered two hikers on the Appalachian Trail in Perry County. A jury found appellant guilty of first degree murder and sentenced him to death in May, 1991. On direct appeal, this Court affirmed. See Commonwealth v. Crews (I),
