In this Workers' Compensation matter, the plaintiff, Jeffrey Coleman (Coleman) was an independent contractor hired by the defendant, Landstar Ranger (Landstar) as an "owner operator" over-the-road truck driver. In May 2002, Coleman was injured while completing a delivery for Landstar.
