MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

KOPF, Chief Judge.

The defendant has pled guilty to possession of a firearm that had the serial number removed from it. A presentence report has been prepared, and the defendant has lodged an objection to the report.

Despite the defendant's well-argued objection to the base offense level, I find and conclude that the probation officer was correct in setting the base offense level at 28. My reasons for that decision are briefly...
