Anthony Thom and his co-defendant, Wayne Boatwright, Jr., were charged with armed robbery, kidnapping with bodily injury, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Boatwright, who was 15 years old when the crimes were committed, entered a plea of guilty and testified against Thom at trial. The jury convicted Thom of all charges except possession of a firearm.
