The defendant, Garry Garner, was convicted of two counts of capital felony in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1997) § 53a-54b (8) and 9),1 two counts of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a,2 and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-48
