Appellant Ronald Arth appeals his conviction of first degree malicious mischief. He contends the trial court erred by failing to instruct the jury on the law of self-defense when he argued at trial that he damaged a vehicle only in an effort to prevent the driver from injuring him with the car. We conclude that the self-defense statute may apply to a charge of malicious mischief when the property damaged was used to threaten the accused with bodily harm....
