Rivera was terminated from his employment with the City and County of Denver (the City), he brought this action against the City under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-1 to 2000e-17, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-34, alleging that he was discharged based on his national origin and age.
