The plaintiffs, Donna and Steve Cruthis, filed their complaint against the defendant, Firstar Bank, N.A., for, inter alia, breach of contract, conversion, and consumer fraud (815 ILCS 505/1 et seq. (West 2002)). The trial court entered a directed verdict for the plaintiffs on their breach-of-contract claim.
