This unusual case requires examination of the use of the court's contempt power against a judgment debtor for his refusal to turn over possession of property subject to seizure by the plaintiff. Following an initial finding of contempt by the district court in 1994 for the judgment debtor's failure to turn over 5,000 one-hundred-dollar bills, the debtor's bankruptcy intervened, staying the state court proceedings...
