On October 14, 2003, the Defendants, Cynthia Anderson and Larry Surratt, were jointly charged by bill of indictment in Evangeline Parish for the murders of Lawrence Cook and Sheila Kirby. Both Defendants filed motions to quash, alleging that the indictment did not indicate the place of commission of the offenses.
