This is an appeal by Coastal Orthopaedic Institute, P.C. (Coastal), from a grant of summary judgment dismissing the counts in Coastal's complaint alleging legal malpractice against attorney Anthony Bongiorno and his law firm, McDermott, Will & Emery, P.C. (MWE). (In this appeal the defendants, from time to time, will be collectively referred to as "the lawyer defendants.")2
