Justin Bennett and Jalani Jacobs were tried jointly before a jury and were both convicted on one count of armed robbery arising out of the robbery of a furniture store. Bennett appeals, claiming that the court erred in not severing the trials, in admitting his confession, and in denying his motion for new trial based on ineffective assistance of counsel.
