The defendant, Peri Allen, appeals from his conviction for burglary in the circuit court of Will County. The sole issue on appeal is whether it was error for the defendant to be forced to wear an electronic security belt as a restraining device at trial. The defendant urges the court to find error and remand his case for a new trial. For the following reasons, we find that it was error for the defendant to be restrained...
