A jury convicted the defendants Hampton and Hargrove of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and aggravated second degree battery of the victim, Eldred Ford Lowe, Jr. For each defendant, the trial court imposed consecutive sentences of 50 years for the armed robbery, 25 years for the conspiracy, and 15 years for the aggravated second degree battery.1 The court denied timely...
