HOLLAND, Justice:

The juvenile defendant-appellant, Kyle Farmer, was arrested and arraigned on charges of Attempted Rape in the Second Degree without consent1 and Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree.2 The trial took place in the Family Court. On the date of trial, the State amended the original Attempted Rape charge to Attempted Rape in the Fourth Degree.
