McCLENDON, J.

Defendant, Roy D. Owens, was charged by grand jury indictment with one count of second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1, and pled not guilty. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged. He moved for a new trial and for a post-verdict judgment of acquittal. The motions were denied. Defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. He moved for reconsideration...
