Following a jury trial in Macoupin County, defendant Frederick Hood was convicted of illegal transportation of alcohol (625 ILCS 5/11-502(a) (West 2000)), failure to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk (625 ILCS 5/11-1002(a) (West 2000)), and reckless homicide (720 ILCS 5/9-3(a) (West 2000)), and sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
