Joel Patterson sued Allstate Insurance Company for negligent failure to procure uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. The case was referred to nonbinding arbitration, and the arbitrator issued a decision in favor of Allstate. Twenty days passed, and neither party requested a trial de novo.
