The appellant in this matter is Michael Allison ("Michael"), who was born on May 28, 1958. Appellee, Carol Ann Allison ("Carol Ann"), is twenty years older than Michael. After a marriage of approximately fifteen years, the two were divorced by the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. At the time of the divorce, Michael was forty-four and Carol Ann was sixty-four.
