On March 11, 2000, J. Quentin Simon, was a back seat passenger in a Chevy Tahoe driven by Jeffery Reel. Mr. Reel ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by Margie Duplantis. When the collision occurred, Mr. Simon was thrown forward causing his chest and right shoulder to hit the front seat.
