Shahir Selim, a pilot and Egyptian Arab, filed suit against his former employer, Pan American Airways Corp., for violations of the Florida Civil Rights Act and the Florida Whistleblower Act. Selim appeals the trial court's entry of a Summary Final Judgment in favor of Pan Am finding that his claims were both collaterally estopped and preempted by union arbitration of employment grievances raised by him against Pan Am.
