Loren B. (hereinafter the father) and respondent Heather A. (hereinafter the mother) are the parents of one child (born in 1999). Petitioner Sharon ZZ. (hereinafter the aunt) is the mother's sister. When the father learned of his relationship to the child, he began slowly initiating visitation, working up to overnight weekend visits.
