The trial court found the appellant, Richard D. Crowder, II, guilty of felony destruction of property valued in excess of $1,000 under Code § 18.2-137(B)(ii). On appeal, Crowder contends that no evidence proved that the value of the property destroyed exceeded $1,000. Agreeing with Crowder, we reverse the felony conviction and remand the case for retrial, if the Commonwealth is so advised, on the lesser-included offense of misdemeanor destruction...
