¶ 1. This appeal arises from a jury verdict in the Circuit Court of Clay County, Mississippi, convicting Demetrius Diontra Barber of capital murder and sentencing him to serve life imprisonment in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without eligibility for parole. Aggrieved by this conviction and sentence, Barber raises the following issues on appeal:
