On October 28, 1999, a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment charging defendant, Earl Bradley, along with co-defendant, Albert T. Russell, with the second degree murder of Barton Sanford in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. Bradley pled not guilty and subsequently filed a motion to suppress evidence, which was heard and denied by the trial judge.
