Denis R. is charged with the sexual assault of his granddaughter, Kirstin. Kirstin's mother, Dawn R., disclosed certain information from Kirstin's counseling sessions to Dawn's grandmother. Dawn, as an intervening petitioner, appeals from the trial court ruling that she, as the privilege holder for her daughter, waived the privilege of confidentiality in Kirstin's counseling relationship by disclosing information to a third party.
