Following a jury trial, defendant Abdolvahab Pirnia, M.D. was convicted of one count of mayhem (Pen.Code, §§ 203 & 1192.71) and eight counts of unauthorized practice of medicine causing risk of harm to a patient (Bus. & Prof.Code, § 2053).
