In this redhibitory action for a reduction of the purchase price of a home, the trial court awarded the Plaintiff/Purchaser, Mathew Tarifa ("Tarifa"), the sum of $20,000.00, which was his cost in repairing the home in the way he saw fit. The trial court also found the notary who passed the act of sale liable to the Defendants/Third Party Plaintiffs/Vendors, Iris D. Riess and Eleonor D. Lund ("Riess" and/or "Lund").
