Appellant, Eddie Fields, was indicted by a Charleston County grand jury for criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in the first degree and kidnapping.1 At the close of evidence defense counsel requested, but was denied, an instruction on assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature (ABHAN).
