Opinion by Justice WILLIAM J. CORNELIUS (Retired).

Kenneth Wayne Ford was convicted of possession of cocaine and sentenced to two years and six months' confinement and a $1,000.00 fine. In his sole point on appeal, Ford contends the trial court erred in admitting evidence of extraneous offenses at the punishment phase of the trial, because the State failed to give him timely and reasonable notice that it intended to introduce such evidence.
