GILMAN, Circuit Judge.

Kin Gibson was terminated from his job with the City of Louisville in 1998. Gibson sued the City, arguing that he was fired in retaliation for requesting leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The jury returned a verdict in favor of the City.
