Ciro Cid Adames ("Adames"), a Texas state prisoner, brought suit against five prison officials pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Adames claimed that the officials violated his eighth amendment right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment because they failed to protect him from an attack by another inmate. A jury determined that two of the defendant prison officials (Antonio Garcia and Abigail Villareal) did not violate Adames...
