MACK KIDD, Justice.

Appellant Kevin Matthew Fink fatally shot Phillip Pollard on October 12, 2002, in the parking lot of the Oak Valley Apartments in Arlington. A jury found him guilty of murder and assessed punishment, enhanced by a previous felony conviction, at imprisonment for ninety-nine years and a $5000 fine. See Tex.
