A jury convicted Edward Lee Outley, III, of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. The probation officer recommended that Outley's offense level be increased by four under section 2K2.1(b)(5) of the United States Sentencing Guidelines (the Guidelines) because Outley possessed a firearm or ammunition in connection with another crime; specifically, "the King shooting."
