Petitioners Rosalie McPherson and Hilda Ferris are the daughters of Ida Dauenhauer (Ida). Respondent Carl Dauenhauer (Carl) is their brother and the personal representative of Ida's estate. In her will, Ida granted Carl an option to purchase her 89-acre farm near Dayton, Oregon, from the estate.
