I. INTRODUCTION

Lee Lawson appeals the superior court's holding that his defamation claim against Ernie and Linda Helmer fails as a matter of law and the court's award of attorney's fees to the Helmers. We hold that the superior court correctly held that the Helmers' testimony and statements to a custody investigator are immunized from Lawson's derivative civil defamation suit.
