A chance schoolyard encounter between the defendant, his former wife and their son led to a conversation among the three. At the time, orders issued pursuant to G. L. c. 209A, § 7, prohibited the defendant from contacting his son and former wife. As a result, a two-count complaint soon issued charging the defendant with violating the orders. A jury trial ensued, and he was convicted on both counts...
