Plaintiff, Tuong Dinh Doan, and defendant, Ha Nguyen Doan, were married on 28 May 1988 and separated 27 February 1998. They had one child, Victoria, who was born 12 September 1990. On 29 May 1998, plaintiff initiated this action seeking custody of Victoria and the setting of child support and visitation. Defendant counterclaimed for child custody and support.
