On April 9, 1984, Boyer pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a child and to four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under fourteen. The children involved were three of his nephews. He received a sentence of eighteen years and one day at M.C.I., Concord.1 Paroled in 1987, he was returned to prison on November 15, 1993, for a violation of its conditions...
