Claimant petitions for review of a decision of the Employment Appeals Board (board) denying him a base-year extension on his unemployment benefits claim. We affirm.

Claimant had rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder on August 13, 2001. On February 28, 2002, claimant applied for unemployment insurance benefits. On that date, his physician signed a form stating that claimant was unable to work from August 13 through 27, 2001. The...
