The State of Wisconsin (State) petitions this court to review an order of the court of appeals that dismissed the State's appeal. State v. Edwards, No. 01-3352-CR, unpublished order (Wis. Ct. App. Mar. 8, 2002). The circuit court had dismissed a criminal action on the grounds that the State had not brought its case against Larry Edwards (Edwards) for trial within the statutory time limit.
