Petitioner State of Washington seeks review of a decision by the Court of Appeals reversing and dismissing Herbert Hardesty's conviction for residential burglary based on a violation of his right to speedy trial under CrR 3.3(c)(2). The Court of Appeals held that a defendant who is detained in another county on an unrelated charge is "detained in jail" for purposes of CrR 3.3(c)(2)(ii).
