LaVaughn E. Lewis appeals from the district court's denials of his K.S.A. 60-1507 motion and his motion for new trial.

In February 1997, Lewis was charged with one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, in violation of K.S.A. 21-3504(a)(3). Lewis' arrest stemmed from a report made by his niece, C.C., on August 14, 1996, when she told police...
