Defendant first argues on appeal that the trial court erred in denying his motion for judgment of acquittal and his motion in arrest of judgment on the criminal mistreatment counts on the ground that the victim, defendant's 15-year-old son, was not a "dependent person" within the meaning of ORS 163.205.
