OPINION
TERRIE LIVINGSTON, Justice.
Appellant Terry Don McAlister was convicted by a jury of the offense of assault. The trial court then assessed his punishment at 30 days' confinement in the Wichita County Jail, probated for one year, plus a $300 fine. On appeal, appellant contends that his conviction was time-barred. We affirm.
